Mae a bawdy chanteuse established herself as an impresario of a successful male stripper revue in Montreal in the late 70’s. A personal setback inspired her to follow her aspirations for musical success and she opens a club in Nashville, Tennessee in 1984. Leaving the circus behind, Henri a young naïve aspiring rodeo-clown, meets up with her looking for opportunities. Mae’s former protégé, the self-centered Angelo, returns to renew his former star status and become Mae’s top man. The strippers egos collide and crash as they vie for Mae’s acceptance. Mae’s loyal domineering assistant Lola has her own designs on Henri as she takes charge of the situation. A bombshell of chaos and mayhem ensues as they ready themselves for Mae's day. |
