As they dance two men reminisce on their lives together. The main characters are M and D, who are shadowed by the otherworldly presence of Good and Evil who debate the question of whether sex is selfishness or selfless; and the act as influencing forces that help or hinder the couple. M recalls his childhood and his difficulty asserting his identity. Good and Evil play with M's conscience and mimic the couple lives together. The couple gets married and Good and Evil try to influence the couple's pre-determined course, capering and arguing, adding to the confusion to the couple. D has to deal with HIV and Good attempts to tamper with his health much to the chagrin of Evil. As D comes to terms with his mortality M convinces him of his ever lasting love. Good and Evil realizing all that D and M have endured, have a revelation of their own, that sometimes their existence is interchangable. D and M dance full circle on to the rest of their lives. |
