A Christmas Carol A Davyn Ryall & Jacqueline Van de Geer collaboration
The original narrative of Charles Dickens adapted & directed by Jacqueline Van de Geer
MIME, MASK, MOVEMENT, MUSIC, MAGIC and MAYHEM.
This production is a cornucopia filled with: drama, comedy, and suspense. Jacqueline Van de Geer and a group of 10 featured local multi-talented performers bring new life to the original narrative of Charles Dickens' holiday season classic.
Dickens pared down A Christmas Carol for his public readings first published in 1843. It is an illuminating and penetrating psycho spiritual analysis of Dickens' classic story of human redemption. He called his little Christmas book a 'carol'; carol being a song or ballad of joy celebrating birth. The first and best of his Christmas Books, A Christmas Carol has become a Christmas tradition and easily Dickens' best known.
This innovative and visceral interpretation of the seasonal favorite is for children off all ages and welcome entertainment for anyone who has seen the Nutcracker one too many times or who just can't sit through another airing of It's a Wonderful Life .
For the child in the heart of all of us, this holiday themed season of Harvest will fill your Christmas stockings with plenty of enlightening and entertaining performances that will undoubtedly be followed by plenty of good cheers!
