David E. Bonk, has lived in many regions of Canada (B.C.
Sask. Ont.) but now he considers Québec his home. He completed his B.A.
in Dramatic Literature at Concordia University. Many of his plays have been
produced including: “We’re No Angles” OUT Productions, 2000;
“Jairy’s Sign Fell Down Again” A Little Bit Bonkers
Productions, 2000; “Come Clean” Playwright’s Workshop
Montreal, 2001; and “Mauvais
Match” Village Scene Productions, 2002. Also two musical comedies
“Bank On The Big Top” 1997 and “Raiders Of The Temple Of Boom” Becket Players, 2001. He is
thrilled to be participating in the CNGLTF and hopes that you enjoy the show.

Davyn Ryall, native to Montréal, is an actor,
director, and writer. He completed a certificate at Collége Rosemount in
Artistic Career Management 1999. He wrote scenes performed by Dynamic Theater
Factory (D.T.F.) 1998-2000 and The Gay and Lesbian Artistic Development Exploration
program (G.L.A.D.E.) 1999-2002. He collaborated with David Bonk on the French
play “Mauvais Match” which he also directed. As an actor recent
performances are the 1999 D.T.F. showcase “In The ‘I’ Of
The Storm” as
FINN in a piece he created entitled “Man Is Like A Banana”; GEE-ORGY in
“Jairy’s Sign Fell Down Again” 2000, and as THE INSPECTOR in “A
Louer” 2001
both at the Montréal Fringe. In the film: “Snake Eyes”, “The Confessioner” and “Sum Of All Fears”. He has a recurring role as
RODRIGEZ on the television series “Virginie” on Societé Radio
Canada. Davyn got the producers bug in 1994 with his creation “Best Of
Broadway” and
1996 with “50 Years Of Success On Broadway”. He produced the Montréal premiere of
“God’s And Monsters” and a symposium for Gay Line “Marriage,
I Do I Don’t”.
He is currently preparing a tour of
‘Bonk Of Montréal’ for 2003 and developing a play as
a vehicle for himself entitled “The Hermit”. Davyn is very excited to be
in Columbus to contribute to this festival.
A Montrealer of Portuguese decent Liz is a powerhouse of
energy and creativity. Graduating from Concordia University ten years ago, Liz
the teacher has been passing on her knowledge of movement and character
development, specializing in the Laban method, ever since. Liz the director is
constantly demonstrating her passion for actors through her dynamic
contributions to the theater community. With countless productions to her
credit, “…Meat Rack” is her sixth this year.
From Canada’s capital Ottawa, in High School his
friends would jest, “Hey Doug! You will end up being the water boy at the
National Arts Center.” Well he showed them, last year he was the lead at
the N.A.C. in the production of “The Drawing Room”. This year he landed the lead in the “Laramie Project” with ACTOUT Productions. Also having appeared in film and
commercial work, this actor from the North is well on his way to a career in

Originally from Alberta in western Canada, Denis traded his
cowboy hat for a wool hat and now resides in Montréal. He toured with
the children’s theater company Theatrix in the productions: “Flight
797”, “The
Flying Machine”,
and “The Magic of the Mind”. He was also in the productions “The Zoo
Story”, “The Sandbox” and “The Hobbit”. A natural performer, Denis
is thrilled to be in Columbus with V.S.P. doing what he loves best.
Often asked “Where are you from?” the truth be
told, he is native to Montreal. “But that’s Okay”, he
responds, “cause I still look Scandinavian”. Appearing in numerous
commercials, television series and
films in both English and French “… Meat Rack” marks his
first English stage production this year. Johann relishes the opportunity to
work with emerging contemporary playwrights. He will be completing his major in
Creative Writing at Concordia University this fall.
Native to south-east Quebec he now resides in
Montréal where he just completed his diploma in Creative Arts (Cinema
communications and Drama) at Dawson College. Ricky started performing as a
dancer in clubs, then made the transition to acting in the 1995 film
“Hiroshima”. In 1996 he returned to the stage and continues to work
in both theater and film. Look for him in “Confessions of a Dangerous
Mind” with George Clooney as C.I.A. agent O’Reilly. His claim to
fame is his resemblance to singer Bryan Adams with whom he also shares the same
birthday.
