Creating New Traditions – Final results:
The six selected pieces from the writing competition “Creating New Traditions” have been chosen by the jury. The final selection in order from 1st place to 6th are:

• The top six selections were awarded cash prizes of: #1 = $100.00, #2 = $75.00, #3 = $50.00, and #4 to #6 = $25.00
• The first prize piece will be featured in TOBE monthly magazine in an upcoming issue.
• Also, the first place piece among others, will be produced in a compliation of short one act plays at The Montreal GLBT Int’l. Theatre Festival by V.S.P. in a production entitled “Seedlings” directed by Davyn Ryall.
The selection committee jury consisted of :

The plays were presented at a stage reading on Friday June 3 and Saturday June 4 at 8pm, at Playwrights Workshop Montreal.

This public reading was a fundraising event for The Montreal GLBT Int’l. Theatre Festival – HARVEST (September 15-25, 2005).
The writing competition was coordinated in collaboration with La Fondation Emergence entitled as part of the campaign for ‘The NATIONAL DAY AGAINST HOMOPHOBIA’ (la Journée nationale de lutte contre l'homophobie). The theme of this third edition held on June 1, 2005 was ‘A Family Reality’ (La famille grandit).
